Surgeon Jacques Bérès, 71 years old, in his appartment in Paris. The co-founder of Doctors Without Borders and Doctors of the World, is just back from an illegal stay in Homs, Syria, where he was the only Western doctor. He operated on 89 wounded in 12 days. 9 patients died on the operating table. Bérès has 40 years of war experience, but says the carnage in Syria is the most horrific he has witnessed: "it is a hell, It's mass murder." he said.
